Hailing from The Rhins of Galloway, Stranraer on a diet Andy Stewart and Harry Lauder, Jarad Rowan is a Scots balladeer for the 21st century. His love for traditional Scottish song began in childhood, however it was during the pandemic that he found his audience, amassing over half a million followers off the back of his home recorded renditions of the songs he grew up with.

On his debut album, “Songs Granny Taught Ye” on Wee Studio Records Jarad takes tartan anthems of days gone by and resurrects them as foot-stomping singalong folk and trad anthems for the modern era. A mixture of craic and bold, rich vocals have won over audiences all around Scotland from pub corners to festival stages.
